Voicethread

This is a free tool in which the instructors and students can create, share, and comment on images, but also you have others options like: upload a PPP, videos, PDF, audio files, and you can use either the microphone, webcam, videos,  text, or phone to make a comment. As you can see are different ways to make a comment in this app.

As you know exist advantages and disadvantages in whichever app that you have to use, but now I’m going to present you some advantages and disadvantages  of using Voicethread.

Advantages 

• You can check your students have study  the presentation by asking them to leave a comment in one of the different forms that exist in the app.
• You can share it.
• You can explain a presentation by recording an audio while they are looking a the slide. 
• You can insert images, videos, presentación and pdf. 
• You can  assign journals.

 Disadvantages 

• You need to have internet connection all the time to work on it and to play it. 
• You cannot create more than 4 o 6 presentations.
• You can deleted one presentation to be able to create a new one, but you need to go to trash to deleted it as well. 
• With free account you can upload videos that are 25 MB or less.

 How to start using Voicethread?

The first thing that you need to do is open a new window on Google and write the name  “Voicethread” and the first page that appears you have to click it. A new page will be open and you have to complete all the personal information that the website is asking for. After that you have to follow all the steps required, and be sure that you aren’t a robot!

At the end that you already write your personal information, and you can access to the website you will  check everything about it, and explore the app and look what this app offers you.
